Abstract [en] : Information security architecture is a term that is applied to a wide variety of activities, each different in the level of detail and the organisational level at which it acts. This makes communication about information security architecture dfficult between different stakeholders. The same issue also permeates to information security architecture frameworks. Because the activities are different, frameworks for those activities can differ greatly as well, both functionally and in quality. This thesis attempts to compare information security architectures by first defining a model for classification and quality comparison and subsequently verifying the model by applying it to three different information security architectures: SABSA, O-ESA and OSA.
