Abstract : Measurements of electrical conductivity, optical reflectance and F2-uptake suggest an ionic limit around C20 in graphite-fluoroarsenate compounds. Oxidation beyond this limit introduces carrier scattering centers in the form of covalent C-F bonds as deduced from measurements of conductivity versus temperature and XPS.
