Abstract: We have investigated the transport properties of LaVO 3-SrTiO 3 Mottinsulator-band insulator heterointerfaces for various configurations. The001-oriented n-type VO 2-LaO-TiO 2 polar discontinuity is conducting,exhibiting a LaVO 3 thickness-dependent metal-insulator transition and lowtemperature anomalous Hall effect. The 001 p-type VO 2-SrO-TiO 2 interface,formed by inserting a single layer of bulk metallic SrVO 3 or SrO, drives theinterface insulating. The 110 heterointerface is also insulating, indicatinginterface conduction arising from electronic reconstructions.
