A common behaviorin animals and human beings is deception. Deceptive behavior in robotics is potentiallybeneficial in several domains ranging fromthe military to a moreeveryday context. Inour research, novel algorithms were developedfor the deceptive behavior of a robot, inspired by theobserved deceptive behavior of squirrels forcache protection strategies, then evaluating the results via simulationstudies. In this paper, wepresent this bio-inspired algorithm for robot deception and observe whether the algorithm is truly applicable in actualrobot systems.
