ABSTRACT: Tourists are attracted to the places of special interest. Such caracteristics are given to the specific tourist destinations the -universal value- and attracts increasing number of positive and negative impacts. Therefore the inscription on the world Heritage List can be a key aspect for tourism development of certain destinations. This article explains the Japenese experiences in this context.
