As the traditional ultrasonic binary gas mixture detector has poor performance at present, it has been limited to promote and use in industry field widely. Based on the theory of ultrasonic detecting binary gas concentration in literature, taking chlorine gas in the air as an example, a new ultrasonic binary gas mixture detector was implemented by using an embedded dual-core processor OMAP5910 and the new ultrasonic measure method. The new ultrasonic binary gas mixture detector has the advantages as to good stability, high dynamic response speed and real-time performance. It has a good prospect for promotion and application.
