This study describes the nonurban runoff from agricultural area including paddy field and removal efficiency of the Naju Constructed Wetland NCW located in the Gomakwon catechment. To elucidate the characteristics of runoff and assess the reduction ability of nonpoint pollutants, seven monitoring for rainfall events were carried out and in the inflow and outflow of NCW. Considering the land use and major pollutants of NCW drain area, BOD5, CODMn, TN, NO3-N, TP, PO4-P, TSS, turbidity, conductivity, pH, temperature, precipitation, total coliform and E. coli. was measured. From the monitoring and analysis, it was found that the NCW achieves reasonable treatment efficiencies for stormwater runoff from the agricultural area. NCW Removal efficiency, in terms of mass removal, of 78-99% for total coliform and E.coli, 48% for BOD5, 43% for CODMn, 16% for TN, 74% for phosphorous were revealed. From these results, the wetland can be applied to water quality management with respect to total maximum daily load TMDL due to the mass reduction of pollutants.
