As yet image evaluation of remote sensing mainly depends on visual effect, which lacks of quantitative criterion. To compare the image quality between low-attitude remote sensing and high remote sensing qualitatively in the following work, viewpoint from information entropy was taken. It is approved that, in comparison with images from high-attitude remote sensing, even of the same resolution, images from low-attitude remote sensing have more details and higher quality, which can be compared by information entropy calculation. A conclusion was drawn: images from low-altitude remote sensing wouldn’t be replaced by high-attitude remote sensing in some special application, such as precise digital city construction, precise agriculture and so on.
