In view of the requirement of distribution optimization of railway dangerous goods station RDGS for assessing environment risk, the concept of Inherent Environment Risk and its calculation approach were presented. On these bases, environment risk evaluation method for RDGS based on field intensity model was proposed, which was characterized by introducing space expression and horizontal comparability into the environment risk evaluation result of RDGS, and by providing the distribution optimization of RDGS with technical and operational guidance but not simply the advises of reserving or shutting a station as other models or methods. The superiority and effectiveness were proved by an illustration.
