Abstract: This paper takes Oxford Classification Standard of Learning Strategy, through questionnaire survey and interviews, carries an empirical study of gender differences in meta- cognitive strategy, cognitive strategy, compensation strategy, memory strategy, public relations strategy and proposes measures to improve English teaching such as English learning strategy diagnosis and training and respecting gender differences to promote full development of learning strategies.
