Abstract : This paper is concerned with the prediction of vibrations at high frequencies in built-up structures. In the high frequency range, the dynamical behavior of structures is driven by energy transfer rather than modal aspects. The description of systems in terms of energy is thus well-suited and leads to closed-form equations of integral type on energy variables. The numerical solution of these equations is achieved with an appropriate software called CeReS, and the results are compared with experimental measurements on a multi-plate structure.
