Abstract: In extradimensional holographic approaches the flavour symmetry is gauged inthe bulk, that is, treated as a local symmetry. Imposing such a local symmetryadmits fewer terms coupling the axial vectors and pseudoscalars than if aglobal symmetry is imposed. The latter is the case in standard low-energyeffective Lagrangians. Here we incorporate these additional, a priori onlyglobally invariant terms into a holographic treatment by means of aStueckelberg completion and alternatively by means of a Legendretransformation. This work was motivated by our investigations concerningdynamical electroweak symmetry breaking by walking technicolour and we applyour findings to these theories.
