Abstract: The standard Lorentz transformations establish a relationship between thespace-time coordinates of the same event when detected from two inertialreference frames I and I- in the standard arrangement. This event ischaracterized by the space-time coordinates Ex,tE and E-x-,t-E, tE and t-Erepresenting the readings of the standard synchronized clocks Cx and C-x-located in the two frames where the event takes place. We obtain thenonstandard Lorentz transformations establishing a -physically- correctrelationship between the readings of the standard synchronized clocks and thereadings of other clocks ta,t-a of the same inertial reference frames. Thisrelationship of the type tE=fx,ta, expresses the standard Lorentztransformations as a function of ta and t-a respectively. We present severalcases of nonstandard Lorentz transformation the case of radar detection, thecase when one reference frame is filled with an ideal transparent dielectricand the case of relativity of the apparent, actual and synchronized positionsof the same moving particle.
