Abstract: We study dark matterDM in the model with one keV scale right-handedneutrino $ u {R1}$ and two GeV scale right-handed neutrinos $ u {R2,3}$, the$ u$SM. We find that one of the GeV scale right-handed neutrinos can have muchlonger lifetime than the other when two GeV scale right-handed neutrinos aredegenerate. We show that mass and mixing of light neutrinos can be explained inthis case. Significant entropy release can be generated in a reheating producedby the decay of one of the GeV scale $ u {R}$. The density of $ u {R1}$ DMcan be diluted by two orders of magnitude and the mixing of $ u {R1}$ withactive neutrinos is allowed to be much larger, reaching the bound from X-rayobservation. This mixing can lead to sizeable rate of $ u {R1}$ capture byradioactive nuclei. The $ u {R1}$ capture events are mono-energetic electronswith keV scale energy away from the beta decay spectrum. This is a new way todetect DM in the universe.
