The Mississippi Institutions of Higher Learning (IHL System), under the governance of its Board of Trustees, operates as a strong public university system with eight distinct, mission-driven universities, and enhances the quality of life of Mississippians by effectively meeting their diverse educational needs. Five-year Goals for the system have been developed in order for the Planning Principles to come to fruition. Successful accomplishment of these Goals will strengthen not only the educational and economic foundation in the state, but also the comprehensive societal well-being of the state, the region, the nation, and beyond. Strategies used to meet these system goals are set by the individual universities in order to ensure respect for the distinctive mission and scope of each institution. This report provides numerous tables, graphs, and maps detailing the status of Mississippi state institutions of higher learning as of Jan 2013. "Enrollment, Graduation Rates & Degrees" provides numerical information in tabular form for: (1) Total Unduplicated Headcount Enrollment by Level Fall Session (A Five-Year Comparison); (2) Total Unduplicated Headcount Enrollment by County Residents of Mississippi (Fall Session 2012); (3) Total Unduplicated Headcount Enrollment by Race & Gender, Residents of Mississippi Fall Session 2012; (4) Total Unduplicated Headcount Enrollment by Residence Fall Session (A Five-Year Comparison); (5) Total Unduplicated Headcount Enrollment First-Time Transfer Students Enrolled from Public Community/Junior Colleges in Mississippi Fall Session 2012; (6) Unduplicated Undergraduate Headcount Enrollment Students Age 25 & Over (Non-Traditional) Fall Session (A Five-Year Comparison); (7) Undergraduate Headcount Enrollment Students Age 25 & Over (Non-Traditional) Dual Campus/Off-Campus Locations Fall Session (A Five-Year Comparison); (8) Total Headcount Enrollment On- And Off-Campus Locations Fall Session 2012; (9) Total FTE Enrollment by Level Fall Session 2012; (10) Total Degrees Conferred by Race (A Five-Year Comparison); and (11) Graduation Rates Entering Freshmen Fall Session. "Budget Request FY 2014" reports (1) Consolidated Appropriations Request FY2014; (2) Appropriation Request FY2014; and (3) General Support Request General Funds FY 2014. "Student Financial Aid" presents: (1) Trends in State Student Financial Aid Programs; (2) State Student Financial Aid Programs FY 2009 Through FY 2012; (3) MTAG Awards FY 2009 Through FY 2012; (4) MESG Awards FY 2009 Through FY 2012; (5) HELP Awards FY 2009 Through FY 2012; (6) WWTS/WWAR Awards FY 2009 Through FY 2012; (7) CNTP/CNAR Awards FY 2009 Through FY 2012; (8) NELS Awards FY 2009 Through FY 2012; and (9) MTAG, MESG, HELP, CNAR/CNTP and WWTS/WWAR Awards By Institution Type FY 2012. An explanation of Terms, Mission Statements, and Goals and Priorities are also provided.
