Abstract: We use the stochastic quantization method to obtain the free scalarpropagator of a finite temperature field theory formulated in Minkowskispacetime. First we use the Markovian stochastic quantization approach topresent the two-point function of the theory. Second, we assume a Langevinequation with a memory kernel and Einstein-s relations with colored noise. Theconvergence of the stochastic processes in the asymptotic limit of the Markovparameter of these Markovian and non-Markovian Langevin equations for a freescalar theory is obtained. Our formalism can be the starting point to discusssystems at finite temperature out of equilibrium.
